Why Chambray?!?!
Me: Would you suggest that I buy the vinyl for Columbus, a Chambray top, and anchor post earrings on Amazon?
Jordyn: Why Chambray?
Me: Why not?
Jordyn: Oh, wait it isn’t … Ok, that is fine. I always think that Chambray is a feathered top.
Jordyn’s version of Chambray:
Caution to the world: Don’t drink cider while trying to finish your homework. Super bad idea.

Sew Inspirational (& Bad Word Plays)
I have been wanting to purchase lovely spring/summer dresses. I think a better option would be to work on my sewing abilities. I found these wonderful patterns on this amazing website (http://www.colettepatterns.com/). They are truly gorgeous patterns:

They do exist . . .
Do all little girls dream of being mermaids?
I know I did! If I would have known of giant seahorses, I probably would have tried harder.

If people like him ruled the world . . .
In Georgia, State Rep. Bobby Franklin wants to punish abortions and miscarriages with death or life in prison. If people like him ruled the world, women would have no rights and live in constant fear. Who votes for people like him?! I bet it is people who have bumper stickers that say, “Anyone who bleeds for 7 days and lives shouldn’t be trusted,” or that sincerely believe that...

Eavesdropping
I just overheard this statement as I worked in the attic at my internship:
” … Reconstruction, or to say it better the occupation.”
Oh god, I can’t wait to hear about the Lost Cause!

"Dead Man Porn for Your Still-Beating Heart"
Seriously the best blog I have ever seen: Bangable Dudes in History!! The site only has seventeen bangable historic suggestions, but it is hysterical. The blog includes such gems as Lewis Powell:

Work
I spent six hours at work scanning old pictures (circa 1880 to 1915) of children. They were so precious. Babies are always cute even if you aren’t quite sure if they are boys or girls. Haha.
I couldn’t help but wonder what kind of people they became.

I don't wanna . . .
(1) read anymore books on Booker T. Washington (6 is enough)
(2) write this stupid book review (I need 500 more words)
(3) go to work or school
(4) wake up before 10 tomorrow morning
(5) be a grad student (why can’t I just have some normal job and do boring things)
I ran out of complaints. I thought I had more. Weird!!

Baking Time
I am making some delicious (hopefully) desserts on my Saturday. I can’t decide if that makes me lame or awesome. I choose AWESOME!! Tonight’s baking agenda includes:
Key Lime Pound Cake (mine will not look like this)
Funfetti Cupcakes (and a small cake from the leftover batter)
And in between baking, I will be reading …
for school.

The U.S. House of Representatives has just voted to bar Planned Parenthood health centers from all federal funding for birth control, cancer screenings, HIV testing, and other lifesaving care. It is the most dangerous legislative assault in our history, and it cannot go unanswered. We — Planned Parenthood and the three million women, men, and teens who are at risk of losing...
